Hardly Strictly

Was awesome.

Six different stages, 50+ bands, banjos and fiddles to boot, and a beautiful melting pot of personalities all coming together for a Bluegrass festival... when else do you see hippies, vagabonds, business people, Teva-wearing dads, small children, and Urban Outfitter young people loitering on the lawns of Golden Gate Park? ...Err... maybe it wasn't too unique, but for the cornucopia of Indie music! Apparently a very wealthy man donates 1 million dollars every year to put this event on for free. He recently passed away, but rumor has it that he left enough money in his will to keep it going for another 20+ years. Now that's generosity. San Francisco was shining- 75 degrees and sunny meant we could even see The Blue Angels flying overhead for Fleet Week. I love living so close to a city where a one-day getaway is the perfect amount of refreshing to the small town life.
One of the venues.
The Head and the Heart concert!

On block 30 of our 50 block walking adventure.
I just can't help myself.
In other news, I am [for realsies] shipping up to Boston in a couple months for the most anticipated reunion of 2012. Where are you, fast-forward button!?

Apparently the show "Breaking Amish" is a real thing, and unfortunately it's fascinating to watch. Somebody stop me.
